Car Story
I purchased this car in April of 2021 from the original owner located in Southern California. The original listing can be seen HERE. The car arrived 100% stock and in essentially new condition. This purchase, as well as the modifications, had been planned for years. My goal was to drive the car often, but do everything I could to keep it as close to perfect as possible. The car has been a dream to own, with the only failures (for me or the original owner) being the original Ferrari battery finally dying in 2021, a leather strap in the frunk breaking in 2022, and a window switch breaking in 2023. I have spared no expense or effort in maintaining this car, and I think it shows with how it drives and presents. The only reason I'm considering selling it is I find myself with a case of the Need a Manual V12 fever.
Notes
-
Always kept in a heated/cooled garage when not driven.
-
Windows, including the windshield, are tinted to reduce interior damage from the sun. Windshield has 90% tint, so it's virtually invisible but still blocks the majority of UV rays.
-
When parked outside, a sun shield is always used.
-
Car is fully covered with Suntek React PPF. This has a much slicker finish than standard PPF. It has saved the car from a few potential chips and makes it a breeze to detail. I will include pics of the spots where there is minor damage to the PPF.
-
I have always kept ceramic coating on top of the PPF as well as on all carbon fiber pieces including the engine bay (which I detail like I do the rest of the car). Even the intake is ceramic coated.
-
There are ZERO sticky surfaces in the interior. They have never had any sort of chemicals or preservatives applied to them. This, combined with the climate controlled garage has helped to avoid the issue.
-
The leather is nearly perfect. There is no shrinkage of any sort on the dash or anywhere in the car. There is virtually no bolster wear on the drivers seat (yes, I have a technique for how I sit...or actually fall...into the car to avoid this ;)
-
The AC blows cold, and works great even on a steamy August day in North Carolina.
-
I use 93 octane ethanol free fuel.
-
All modifications as well as regular maintenance (since the 7 year maintenance expired) have been completed by me. I've been maintaining my cars for over 40 years, and this one is much simpler than say a Porsche 928S4 that requires a timing belt service. I take my time and do extra things like polish/ceramic coat the brake calipers while I'm in there.
-
The IPE exhaust with 200 cel cats throws no CEL lights, does not require a tune, and passes North Carolina emissions inspections.
-
I recently tried IPE cat bypass pipes, and while they were a riot, they turned out to be a bit too loud. These are included with the car.
-
I do have an OpenFlash tune on the car. I added this when I tried the cat bypass pipes earlier this year. The primary reason for the tune is the burbles it adds when decelerating (similar to the early 458's). It does however improve shifting and the overall driving enjoyment of the car. The tablet device is included with the car and the original factory tune files are loaded on it. It's a very simple operation to take it back to factory.
-
I have never had the car on a track, and as far as I know neither did the previous owner.
